Hello friends, family and well-wishers On the 22nd of January, I had my official declaration at the ward level to run for the State House of Assembly, representing Ezinihitte L.G.A Mbaise Imo State, under the umbrella of the People's Democratic Party(PDP). It was a decision that came after several consultations with my husband, family, friends and party stakeholders. It did not come as a surprise to people, because I have been a frontline political activist and advocate for good governance from time immemorial.

Healthcare

Health is wealth and as such, improving access to decent a healthcare system for everyone, including a subsidized community health care management for pregnant women and children through the provision of the right infrastructure, is at the core of my mandate

Inclusion

Eliminating all harmful practices, such as child marriage, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, discrimination against people with disability, gender -based violence. Top of my agenda is ensuring women’s full and active participation in economic and political leadership at all levels.

Quality Education

Being the most significant vehicle for societal progress and change, I am dedicated to bridging the gulf between the rich and the poor through the development of an accessible and standard education system comparable to the world’s best models.

Environment

Will protect the environment by pushing for better environmental laws and reforms; waste management strategies, recycling plants in the constitute, which in turn will create jobs and opportunities. I am firm believer in waste to wealth.
What we should all do

Breaking the bias

Women all over the world face very difficult situations in their pursuit of political relevance. There’s a common perception that women are weak, and do not possess leadership traits.

# BreakingTheBias
is all about reminding society that women are not just capable of so much more, but they are natural leaders. Women’s worth should never be tied to domesticities, and leadership is not testosterone-driven.
Breaking the bias is all about changing narratives, and stereotypes that exclude or potentially limits women political careers.

It is a clarion call to women all over the world and Africa to wake up, and not allow themselves diminished by these biases.

Breaking the bias is about bringing women together to shatter the barriers that otherwise held them, hostage, from having a full agency on how they represent their constituents.
